Started teaching in Bexley in 2015

After completing his undergraduate degree in Jazz Studies at Bowling Green State University, Jason Hogue moved just outside of New York City to Montclair, NJ to pursue a music career and to earn his Master’s Degree in Jazz Studies from William Paterson University. While in NYC, Jason began playing in a multitude of musical genres including Jazz, Indian Classical, Rock, and Bluegrass. Jason has performed all over NYC at venues including Lincoln Center, The Jazz Gallery, Symphony Space, Birdland, Trumpets, and many more. Notables that Jason has performed with include Lesley Gore, Joe Lovano, Jimmy Buffett, Sal Mosca, Snehasish Mozumder, John Tchicai, Ed Soph, and Nadine LaFond. Jason has studied under Edgar Meyer, Sal Mosca, John Hollenbeck, Ray Brown, Russell Schmidt, Jeff Halsey, Guy Remonko, and Steve LaSpina. Jason is an in demand session player and has recorded many albums for various artists including Simone Stevens, Austin McCutchen, Jason Loughlin, John Ehlis, Nadine Lafond and Snehasish Mozumder. Jason moved back to Ohio in 2011 and now devotes his time to teaching music to the students of the Bexley School District.
